TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS 
Please use the eTranscript link (www.parchment.com) to create an account to request your transcript be sent to colleges and universities.  If you are an AHS alumni, please feel free to use this service as well, or contact us to have your transcript mailed to your destination of choice.

INDIANA DIPLOMA REQUIREMENTS
Click (Indiana Diploma Requirements) to view the diploma requirements for graduation in the State of Indiana.  
The requirements are for all students.

TESTING INFORMATION
SAT

The 2018-19 SAT dates have been announced and registration is open.  
Visit to the College Board website to register for the SAT:  https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register
 
The SAT will be administered at Attica High School on October 6, 2018, March 9, 2019, and May 4, 2019.
ACT
If interested in taking the ACT, visit ACT Registration to register.  

**Important note: If you are on free/reduced lunch, you may be eligible for a waiver for the SAT/ACT fees.  See Mrs. Scifres if you have specific questions about the waivers or need assistance with registering for the tests.

Hilda Bowen Nursing Scholarship
Completed application due to the guidance office: January 25, 2019 
This scholarship is for any student attending AHS or Seeger who plans on majoring in nursing. See the first page of the application for details.

Psi Iota Xi Memorial Scholarship
Completed application due to the the guidance office: April 1st
This scholarship is for any student from AHS or Seeger who is planning on attending an accredited college or university to further their education in the fields of speech and hearing. Students who are planning to study art, music, and literature are also eligible to apply. If we do not have an applicant that meets these requirements, ALL APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED REGARDLESS OF MAJOR.  One letter of recommendation is required.


Psi Iota Xi Cancer Memorial Scholarship
Completed application due to the guidance office:  April 1st
This scholarship uses the same application as the Psi Iota Xi Memorial Scholarship. In addition to the requirements listed, a one- to two-page essay about how cancer has affected you or your family is required. Students who are planning to study art, music, and literature are also eligible to apply.  If we do not have an applicant that meets these requirements, ALL APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED REGARDLESS OF MAJOR.  One AHS student and one Seeger student will be awarded.  

Tri Kappa Helping Hand Scholarship
Completed application due to the guidance office: April 1st
This scholarship is based on financial need and ability. Click on the link to download the scholarship application. Two letters of recommendation, a personal essay about "Why I Need This Helping Hand", current transcript, and a current photo are required.


Attica Athletic Boosters Scholarship
Completed application due to the guidance office: April 1st
This scholarship requires that the students have participated in sports for two years and have competed all four years of high school. Two letters of recommendation from school staff (not coaches), and a handwritten essay on the back of the application about why you feel you should receive this scholarship are required.


Fountain County Extension Homemaker's Association Scholarship
Completed application due the the guidance office: April 1st
This scholarship requires that a student is planning to attend a two year school. A one-page typed essay about why you need this scholarship, two letters of recommendation in which one is from a teacher, and copy of your current transcript are required.

Fountain County Farm Bureau Scholarship
Completed application due date is April 1st
This scholarship is for students planning to pursue an agriculture-related career and whose parents are farmers or work in a farming occupation.


South Fountain Pioneers Scholarship
Completed application due the the guidance office: April 1st
This scholarship is for any student of AHS, Covington, or Fountain Central who are planning to major in Agriculture or an Agriculture related field of study at a four-year school, although a vocational school will be considered. Two letters of recommendation from no-relatives, a one-page typed essay on what your future plans are and why you'd be a good candidate for this scholarship, and a copy of your current transcript are required.

 
American Legion Scholarship
Completed application due to the guidance office: April 15th
The American Legion Scholarship is for any senior who is a descendent of a veteran. A short essay on why you feel you deserve this scholarship is required.


Keith E. Barnhart Scholarship
Completed application due to the guidance office: April 15th
This scholarship application is for any senior who has participated in Attica Junior-Senior High School's Band program for no less than three of four years. The student should have participated in at least two annual solo or ensemble competitions. A GPA of at least a 2.75 and a combined SAT score of at least 850 is required. Involvement in the community outside of school through church groups, community service, and/or work experiences is also required. A one page essay as to why you wish to receive this scholarship must be included with your application.


Keith Eric Garrett Scholarship
Completed application due to the guidance office: April 15th
This scholarship is for seniors who have demonstrated leadership characteristics to both the Attica school system and the community of Attica through citizenship and volunteer services. Students must have been accepted to a four-year institution within the state of Indiana. Students must be planning to major in one of the following fields: Business Management, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, or Engineering. A one-page essay as to why you believe you meet the above criteria is required. You must also include the name, relationship, address, and phone numbers of at least two references along with your application.


Lee Whitehall Educational Trust
Completed application due to the guidance office: April 15th
This scholarship application is for any senior who demonstrates financial need and who has been active in the school and the community while maintaining a good GPA. A one-page essay on why you wish to be a recipient of this award is required.

Attica FFA Scholarship
Completed application due to the guidance office: April 15th
This scholarship is for any senior who has participated in FFA and/or has taken an agricultural class. Along with the application, a short essay on what your post secondary plans are and how agricultural classes/FFA have benefited you are required.
 
 

MAY 

Community of Attica Scholarship Endowment (CASE)
Completed application due to the guidance office: May 1st
The CASE scholarship application is one application that applies the following scholarships: CASE, Wade C. Harrison, Harrison Steel, Julie Williams and Central National Bank.
The CASE and Central National Bank scholarships have no criteria for applying other than completing the application. 
The Wade C. Harrison and the Harrison Steel scholarships require that the students must be children or step-children of current Harrison Steel employees and be planning to attend a four-year in state college or university. 
The Julie Williams scholarship requires that students must be going to college to major in an educational field. No essay is required for this scholarship.  You must complete all of the application and attach a copy of your current transcript and resume.
 
Attica Classroom Teachers Scholarship
Completed application due to the guidance office: May 1st
This scholarship is for any student who plans to pursue a career in education. Along with the application, a brief paragraph addressing the questions listed on the application is required.
 

Attica Student Council Scholarship

Completed application due to the guidance office: May 1st
This scholarship is for any senior who has served on Student Council for at least one year. Two scholarships will be awarded. Along with the application, a short essay about why you want this scholarship and a description of your post-secondary goals are required.

 
Attica Elementary School Student Council Leadership Scholarship

Attica Class of 1954 Scholarship

Completed application due to the guidance office: May 1st
This scholarship is for any senior who plans on attending a two or four year vocational school after graduation. In addition to the application, a brief essay about why you should receive this scholarship is required.


Attica Alumni Association Scholarship

Completed application due to the guidance office: May 1st
This scholarship is for any senior planning to further their education after graduation. The recipient of this scholarship will be determined on the basis of scholastic ability and general good citizenship. Recipients of this scholarship are strongly encouraged to attend the Alumni Association Banquet that is held annually on the second Saturday of June at 6:30 as the winner is recognized at this event.

National Honor Society Scholarship
Completed application due to the guidance office: May 1st
This scholarship requires that students be an active member of NHS. Please use the application as a template for creating your own document and making sure all of the information listed on the application is included. Your finished application should resemble a resume. See Mr. Duncan if you have questions about this particular scholarship.

Attica Family Night Scholarship
Completed application due to the guidance office: May 1st
This scholarship is open to any AHS student but preference is given to those who volunteered with the Family Night program. See Mr. Duncan if you have any questions.

 

James Bunch Memorial Scholarship

Completed application due to the guidance office:  May 1st 
This scholarship is for an Attica High School senior planning to attend college. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and participated in at least one season as an athlete at Attica High School.
