Attica Consolidated School Corporation is proud to announce the Appointment of Superintendent of Schools

At a special meeting on November 14, 2017 the Board of School Trustees, Attica Consolidated School Corporation (ACSC) appointed Mrs. Sheri Hardman as Superintendent of Schools.  Mrs. Hardman was one of 16 candidates the Board reviewed to identify its next leader.  With input from a broad-based community committee the Board unanimously selected Mrs. Hardman.

Mrs. Hardman is currently Superintendent of Schools at the Elk Point-Jefferson School District (EPJ) in Elk Point, South Dakota.  A 1996 graduate of Black Hills State University with a double major in Elementary and Special Education she furthered her education with an MS degree in Educational Administration from Dakota Wesleyan University, an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration from the University of Sioux Falls and is currently a candidate for an Ed.D. from the University of South Dakota.

Prior to her appointment as Superintendent of EPJ in 2014 she served for six years as Superintendent/PK-4 Principal with the Kimball School District in Kimball, SD.  From 1997 to 2008 she taught special education students in grades K-12 in Mitchell and Brookings SD and Ruthton MN.

While at EPJ she saw her school named a State Exemplar by the ACT College & Career Readiness Campaign, was named one of America’s Best High Schools by US News & World Report and was ranked 7th highest in the state on the state School Performance Index with an achieved graduation rate of 95%.  She organized and implemented a K-12 leadership team into the district focused on school improvement and student success.

Mrs. Hardman brings a wealth of successful experience in technology integration in education, facilities management and regular and special educational program development.  Her successes include an outstanding ability to attract grant awards to her district for both educational programing and facility enhancements.

The Board believes Mrs. Hardman will bring visionary leadership to the ACSC along with exceptional communication and strong interpersonal skills that will combine with ACSC’s outstanding faculty and staff to make her a successful advocate for all students, staff and the entire Attica community.

Mrs. Hardman will begin duties in January 2018.
