With a generous $40,000 grant awarded by Project Lead The Way (PLTW), Attica Jr-Sr High School plans to launch and sustain a robust PLTW program that will provide our students with valuable STEM opportunities. This school year’s $20,000 allocation will be used to implement two foundational courses: Computer Science Foundations and Introduction to Engineering Design. These funds will cover the essential equipment and software to ensure students have access to high-quality, hands-on learning experiences.

For the 2026-2027 school year’s $20,000 installment, the school will support the addition of Digital Electronics, further expanding our STEM curriculum. Beyond the classroom, the equipment acquired will also enable the potential revival of the robotics club, support student participation in initiatives like the Congressional App Challenge, and foster extracurricular opportunities such as a 3D printing club. These resources will also be made available for other classes and enrichment activities in our upcoming Discovery Lab, allowing for broader, interdisciplinary applications that benefit the entire school community.

Attica Consolidated School Corporation would like to thank AHS science teacher Clinton Robertson for working diligently on this grant. These important funds will continue to allow our students to thrive and further advance their learning in STEM areas.
