Attica Consolidated School Corporation is a 1:1 school district. For grades 3 through 12, we use Chromebooks. This is the last year of service for our current fleet. We are now requesting proposals for replacement of those devices.
Bids will be accepted until the close of business at 4pm on Friday, December 19th. We anticipate making a decision by January 9th on which (if any) bid we accept. If we do accept a proposal, we will contact the winning vendor to finalize details and begin a purchasing process.
We are looking to replace 500 Chromebooks. Here are our specifications and preferences:

11-inch Form Factor
NO Touchscreen
8 GB of RAM
Webcam
Bluetooth
3.5mm headphone jack (optional, preferred)
Webcam shutter (optional, preferred)
2+ USB-C ports (optional, preferred)
You may, of course propose alternatives , but understand that this is our touchstone.
We will primarily focus on the devices themselves in our evaluation, but we would be interested in also seeing options for bundles that include cases and extended warranty options:
Cases: should offer strong corner protection
Warranty: minimum of three years of warranty coverage
Including an option or accidental damage or other service plans would be appreciate.
The fleet is expected to remain in service for 4 - 5 years.
Bids will be evaluated using a scored matrix. Price and adherence to the minimum and preferred device requirements will be the primary criteria. We will also give weight to other factors, including such things as having a satisfactory working relationship and the quality and value of any bundles which may be proposed.
