Winter can be difficult for anyone. Winter break can be especially difficult for families facing food insecurity. Here are some resources to help fill the gap over the winter break:
highlights resources for free meals, SNAP stores, WIC stores, and WIC Clinics in your area.
shows available food banks across the state of Indiana.
Food Finders can help you find a local food bank. They also include links if you wish to make a donation or volunteer your time to help others.
has local resources for everything from food pantries to housing assistance and even medical or legal support.
USDA’s National Hunger Hotline provides local meal resources. Households can call toll free at 1-866-3-HUNGRY or 1-866-8-HAMBRE.
For many of our district families, one local resource is Area Sharing Kindness (ASK), which operates a food pantry right here in Attica.
