As food costs continue to rise at the same time as funding opportunities go down for schools across the country, Attica schools had been holding steady on meal prices since 2021. While we would have liked to continue that this year, it simply was not going to be possible to do so.
After a survey of other area schools, we found the following new meal costs, while increased from those 2021 prices, will keep us at or below average for this part of the state:
Breakfast
Student -- $2.00
Adult -- $3.00
Lunch
AES Student -- $2.90
AHS Student -- $3.10
Adult -- $5.00
These new prices were approved by the school board without objection at the regular, public board meeting held on April 27th at the library of the Attica Jr-Sr. High School.
