Today, our 8th graders had the opportunity to explore all of the Wabash River Career and Technical Education courses offered at Fountain Central, Covington, and Seeger. In addition to this experience, they are currently taking introductory courses in Health Science, Business, Advanced Manufacturing, and Public Safety.
Each year, we continue to expand opportunities like these to help guide students through high school and beyond, encouraging them to explore a wide range of postsecondary pathways and career options.

The Introduction to Business 8th grade class recently created frappe coffee drinks for students at the high school and staff.
The students learned how to use the appropriate ingredients in the drinks, advertise the coffees and complete orders.

The CTE Business, Entrepreneurship and Marketing classes, along with the Principles of Business class created headstones from businesses that are no longer in existence. Some of these businesses came back from the dead under new ownership, but others just stayed gone. The brick-and-mortar stores are no more.
The students researched businesses that were gone and found out the reasons why. Some were due to bankruptcy, unable to manage the business and other various reasons.

The CTE Business, Entrepreneurship & Marketing class have been learning about food trucks and the community. The students participated in a gallery walk to research more material needed about designing food trucks and what goes into that process.
The class had guest speakers from Gordo's Food Truck and explained how they got started along with the details driving the market for food trucks as a business.
Pictured are students from Fountain Central, Seeger and Attica with the owner, associate and Mrs. Current (instructor).

Our 4th graders had an amazing day at Conner Prairie! Students loved riding high in the sky on the helium balloon, exploring the corn maze, playing at the treehouse, and stepping back in time through history. Mrs. Rosswurm and Mrs. Stafford enjoyed watching students learn outside the classroom—and appreciated the surprisingly quiet bus ride! A big thank-you to all the chaperones who joined us and helped make the day a success!
