Attica swimmers will compete in the WRC Finals this Saturday morning at home, representing the Ramblers with pride. Led by top qualifier Aaron Saunders and joined by Molly Peterson, Julianne Rosswurm, Lilly Irwin, Anni Reynolds, and Gwen Duncan, our athletes have earned this opportunity through hard work and dedication. We are proud of our swimmers and coaches for their commitment and look forward to cheering them on.

Mrs. Mattern’s culinary cupcake competition showcased the creativity and skill of her students as they elevated a box mix through thoughtful modifications. The project highlighted strong problem-solving and attention to quality. This experience reflected the high-quality learning taking place in Mrs. Mattern’s culinary program.

Attica’s Homecoming Pep Rally was a great celebration of student pride and school spirit as we recognized this year’s Homecoming Court. Our students and staff came together to support and cheer on our Ramblers. Moments like these highlight the strong sense of tradition and unity that makes Attica special.

Vincent and Brittany have consistently gone above and beyond in supporting AES by helping cover negative lunch balances for students and families in need. Their generosity makes a real difference in the lives of our students, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued support.

If anyone else is interested in helping, there is a lunch fund set up at the Attica Elementary front office. Every contribution, big or small, helps ensure our students are taken care of.

Attica schools will operate on a two-hour delay Tuesday, 1/20, due to continuing frigid temperatures.

Today Mayor Grant announced that Saturday, January 24th has been officially designated as Aubrey Bartkowiak Day for the City of Attica. This proclamation honors Aubrey for her outstanding achievement as a State Champion. He also shared congratulations to Aubrey and everyone involved in supporting her success. Thank you Mayor Grant and again, Congrats to Aubrey!

Attica schools will observe an e-learning day on Monday, January 19 due to extremely frigid temperatures in the forecast.

Attica High School is proud to recognize Aaron Saunders, who broke the 500 Freestyle school record with an impressive time of 5:24.71. The previous record, held by Travis Dill since 1994, stood for over three decades.

Congratulations to Aaron and our Swim & Dive program on an outstanding achievement!

During Steam Saturday, we designed and created our own T-shirts using the STEAM process. We used Technology to create and refine our designs, Engineering to plan the steps and assemble our shirts correctly, Art to express creativity through colors, graphics, and style, and Math to measure, size, and align our designs accurately. By working together and using creativity, and problem-solving, we successfully turned our ideas into FUN fantastic T-shirts.

WRCTE teachers met with Attica sophomores to share opportunities available starting their junior year. Students can take WRCTE courses across Fountain and Warren County schools, earning certifications, dual college credit, and career-ready skills. Attica Boys Basketball showed grit and determination throughout Saturday night’s battle against Tri-County. The team continued to improve as the game went on and came away with a strong second-half performance. Proud of the fight and growth our boys showed.
