It was an honor to welcome back Roy Jones, Attica’s longtime principal who dedicated 30 years to serving in that role—preceding 10 years as an Industrial Arts teacher right here at AHS. Mr. Jones visited Vince Evans’ Precision Machinery class today and toured the school; it’s always special to have a true Attica legend back on campus.
We are incredibly proud of our choir students who represented our school at the ISSMA District Vocal Solo/Ensemble Contest in Lafayette today. Bringing home six gold medals and two silver medals is a true reflection of their talent, preparation, and hard work. Congratulations to Gwen Duncan, Nora Smalley, and Keleigh Moore for advancing to State in February, and to all who sang and made our school and community proud.

Ms. Newman’s ICP students were busy investigating mechanical waves through hands-on exploration and problem-solving. Their focus, curiosity, and strong work ethic were on full display as they tested ideas and learned from each other. The Attica Junior High Student Council enjoyed their winter party with activities, snacks, and time for their business meeting. We are proud of these students for stepping up to support the Riley fundraiser alongside the AES Student Council this Thursday at the varsity basketball game. Their willingness to serve and give back is a great example of leadership and compassion in action.

Attica heavyweight Hayden Pitts delivered a big win this week, helping push the Ramblers past Faith and South Newton. His effort reflects the hard work and discipline being built in our wrestling program as we continue to do things the right way. Our community is proud of Hayden and grateful for the dedication of our coaches who continue to build something special.
Attica swimmers will compete in the WRC Finals this Saturday morning at home, representing the Ramblers with pride. Led by top qualifier Aaron Saunders and joined by Molly Peterson, Julianne Rosswurm, Lilly Irwin, Anni Reynolds, and Gwen Duncan, our athletes have earned this opportunity through hard work and dedication. We are proud of our swimmers and coaches for their commitment and look forward to cheering them on.
Mrs. Mattern’s culinary cupcake competition showcased the creativity and skill of her students as they elevated a box mix through thoughtful modifications. The project highlighted strong problem-solving and attention to quality. This experience reflected the high-quality learning taking place in Mrs. Mattern’s culinary program.
Attica’s Homecoming Pep Rally was a great celebration of student pride and school spirit as we recognized this year’s Homecoming Court.
