Hi! My name is Cait Krueger Conway, and I will be the new band/music teacher. I am originally from Wisconsin, attended graduate school in Illinois, and have spent the last four years teaching music at a boarding school in Worcester, Massachusetts. While we’ve loved our time on the East Coast, my husband and I are very excited to move back to the Midwest and be closer to our families. Outside of school, I enjoy baking, crafting, reading, and hanging out with my two cats, Smidge and Tito. I can’t wait to join the community!

Hello! My name is Mark Mattern, and I am a former graduate of Attica High School returning to spearhead Attica's new Career/Technical Education program in exercise science. I earned my Bachelor's degree at Wabash College prior to teaching Biology and Biomedical Science for eight years at Jennings County High School. I continued my schooling at the University of Indianapolis, where I earned my Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. For the past eight years, I have worked in outpatient orthopedic PT clinics at Franciscan Health and Veterans Affairs. I am excited about returning to teaching and having the opportunity to be focused on my passion: the human body and the positive impact of exercise on our health. I hope to develop a robust program that will offer students hands-on experiences where they will learn knowledge and skills used in various high-demand health careers. What is more, I look forward to advocating for students to become lifelong learners and stewards of their own health.
I am proud to have my three children in Attica Schools, and I am excited about the future possibilities for growth within the school and the Attica community as a whole!
