Attica Youth Baseball & Softball Skills Camp Offering

Attica’s junior high student council met for their first official meeting Friday. Students worked in groups for an ice breaker cooperative activity prior to starting the business meeting. Mrs. Cunningham and Mrs. Mattern are excited to have so many students interested in taking on leadership positions.

Many thanks to Nurse Amy Kemple from Williamsport Nursing and Rehabilitation for visiting our Health Career Rotation Class. Our students were able to learn and practice using a gait belt to help stabilize patients, using draw sheets and cushions to properly position patients in bed, as well as working as a team to help fallen patients from the floor. What great skills! Thanks so much to Williamsport Nursing and Rehabilitation and to Nurse Amy!

Thank you so much to Dr. Mary Barazza from WeCare in Attica for coming into our Health Career Rotation Class. Our students learned how to check reflexes, evaluate and excise potentially concerning moles, as well as appropriately load and inject "medication" from a syringe. The students had a great time! Thanks to WeCare and Dr. Mary!

Ms. Thomas’s 7th grade scientists put Newton’s 3rd Law to the test—every action has an equal and opposite reaction—by designing their own scooters. Hands-on physics in motion!

Here are recent country pictures from the Riverton Parke Invitational on Saturday. Ribbon winners were Rocco Falcon and Maddox Rice for the varsity. Medal winners for the junior high were Carter Ashley and Evelyn Mattern. Camden Folkert ribboned for junior high. Today our CPR winners were Maggie Cunningham, Maddox Rice, Rocco Falcon, and Jensen Beck. Congrats to all.

The CTE business class learned about the division of labor through a lesson and then through application.
Each student was to complete items from start to finish within a set time to see how many completed items they can finish.
Then the students were timed again, but this instance each student had a specific job duty, such as division of labor, to complete the project to see if this accrued more finished product.
At the end of the application, the students found that by using division of labor, more products were completed than each individual student completing a task from start to finish themselves.
The class received ice cream sandwiches to finish off the class lesson.
The students are from Seeger, Attica & Fountain Central.
Samantha, Adalyn, Cadence, Annika, Lizette, Adam, Kalina & Ayden

Mrs Current's Principles of Business class recently taught a lesson to junior high students on the American Enterprise System.
The students covered terminology on what entrepreneurship is, the role of the consumer and what the government does in the economic system. The business students also constructed a quiz over the presentation for the junior high students.
