THANK YOU!!!!
Today did not go as planned. We started the day thinking it would be the regular second-to-last day of school of finals schedule, but by 10:30 things had changed. The construction crew hit a gas line behind the school and we were immediately evacuated from the building. Police and Fire services were quickly on the scene to investigate while all our students and staff were in safe distance away from the school.
Buses were ready and loaded students and staff to take them to AES. Lunch was quickly approaching and we could not get access to the food at AHS, and AES did not have enough. HUGE shoutout to Attica Pizza Hut and County Market for coming through for us today in a tough spot. 75 pizzas and enough bottled water for 300 people were there by Noon today and both businesses didn't bat an eye to help us out. Thank you to the parents who helped deliver the water from county market.
Thank you to our parents for being patient with our office staff and front desk workers as they were taking a multitude of phone calls and helping to sign students out to go home. Their support and understanding of our staff during this whole situation made things go so smoothly.
Thank you to the staff for reacting quickly and for keeping our students calm and safe. They all sprung to action, helped out where needed, always making our students the priority.
At the end of the day all of our students made it home safe and have a fun memory to share about how they got to spend one last day at the AES building and have some pizza with their friends. Our building is safe to re-enter and we will have the last day of the 2024 school year tomorrow.
Attica is an amazing community and our school is so lucky to have this type of support!
Today did not go as planned, but it was still a great day to be a Rambler!
